Mixed Size Original
Use this option when multiple different original
sizes are used in the original data.
Select this check box to enable automatic selection
of the paper tray that suits the document size.
• You cannot use the [Mixed Size Original] option
with the [Paper Size], [Combine], [Image
Repeat], [Booklet], [Binding Edge], [Add Cover],
[Blank Page Detection], or [Multi-part Paper
Printing] function. (p. 3-11 "Paper Size", p. 3-15

• When using this function with duplex printing,
duplex printing is only applied when the size of
the front and back of the document is the same.
(If the size is not the same, the back of the page
is left blank.)
• When printing the mixed-size document data
without selecting the [Mixed Size Original]
check box, all pages are printed in the size of
the first page.
■ Using This Function with Duplex
Printing
When using this function with duplex printing, you can set
the binding position for each paper size.
Select the [Mixed Size Original] check box and click
[Details] to display the [Mixed Size Original] dialog box.
Select the binding position for each size.
[Larger Page]
[Long Edge], [Short Edge]
[Smaller Page]
[Long Edge], [Short Edge]
[Rotate Larger Page 180 Degrees]
Select the [Rotate Larger Page 180 Degrees] check box
to rotate the larger pages 180 degrees.
• [Larger Page] means A3, B4 (Ledger, Legal),
and Tabloid; [Smaller Page] means other sizes.
• Some applications do not allow you to rotate the
larger pages to the desired orientation. In this
case, select the check box to rotate the print
orientation 180 degrees.
Zoom
Specify the enlarge/reduce ratio of the original.
Select the [Zoom] check box and enter the enlarge/
reduce ratio in the range of 50% to 200%.
If you do not select [Zoom], the enlarge/reduce ratio is
automatically selected based on the [Original Size],
[Paper Size] and page imposition settings.
Paper Size
Specify the size of paper for printing.
• You cannot use [Paper Size] and [Mixed Size
Original] at the same time. (p. 3-11 "Mixed Size
Original")
• When printing on envelopes, it is recommended
that you connect the optional stacking tray and
envelope feed kit.
• The list shows the sizes registered in [Custom
Paper Entry] in the [Environment] tab. (p. 3-32
"Custom Paper Entry")

■ Specifying a Custom Paper Size

When the paper is a non-standard size, select [Custom].

Select [Custom] for [Paper Size].
The [Custom] dialog box is displayed.

Enter the size of the paper.

Click [OK].
• The size entered here is only valid when
configuring the document size. Registering
frequently-used paper sizes can be useful.
