Separating Books ([Booklet])
When [Binding] is set to [Fold + Staple] or [Fold] for
"Booklet" of copying, you can configure [Separating
Books].
Printouts are output upon being separated per
booklet based on a certain number of pages per
volume. The assignment of pages will differ
depending on the settings.
[OFF]
The pages will be assigned so that the pages are in order
when the booklet is bound in the center. When the data
contains a large number of pages, the booklets will be
output as multiple volumes. The pages will be assigned
so that when these volumes are opened and stacked on
top of each other, they can be bound to form a single
booklet.
[ON]
The pages will be assigned so that when all volumes that
are output are stacked in their folded state, the pages will
be in the correct order.
Example: 60 pages, set to [Fold], separating books [OFF]

• In the factory default state, multiple volumes will
be output when the number of pages exceeds 5
sheets when [Binding] for [Booklet] is set to
[Fold] or 15 sheets when this is set to [Fold +
Staple].
• The staples will not be inserted when multiple
volumes are being output.
• [Separating Books] and [Add Cover] cannot be
used at the same time. (p. 1-27 "Add Cover")
Center Margin ([Booklet])
Set the center margin to the center of folded
sections to prevent the folded sections from hiding
when the sheets are folded in two.
When [Center Margin] is configured, you can
configure [Auto Reduction]. If the center margin you
have specified causes the printed image not to fit
on the sheet, set automatic reduction to [ON].
• The center margin can be configured only when
[Layout Order] is set to other than [OFF] with
[Booklet] for copying and [Fold + Staple] or
[Fold] is selected for [Binding].
Offset Output ([Program])
In addition to the "Program" (p. 1-24) function for

copying, you can stack sets of printed documents
slightly apart from one another to create
separation.
[OFF]
Offset output is not performed.
[Between Sets]
Each set of printed documents is stacked slightly apart
from one another.
[Between Groups]
Groups of printed documents are stacked slightly apart
