Output and Destination
Specify whether to print the data sent from a
computer or save it to a folder on the printer.
You can also save the data to a USB flash drive as
a PRN file, or create a file to use in the Barcode
Area Definition Software.
[Print]
Prints the data.
[Storage]
You can save the document data to a folder on the
machine as a PRN file.
[Print & Storage]
Saves the original data in a folder on the machine and
prints it.
[Save to USB Drive]
You can save the document data to a USB flash drive as
a PRN file. Even if you do not have a network
environment, you can print by connecting a USB flash
drive to the machine.
[Save as a File]
A PRN file is created to be used in the Barcode Area
Definition Software.
• Do not remove the USB flash drive until saving
is finished. During data saving, a printer icon
appears in the taskbar shown on the computer.
When saving is completed, the printer icon
disappears. Make sure that the icon has
disappeared before removing the USB flash
drive.
• The data saved in a folder on this machine can
be printed from the [Storage] - [Load] screen
(p. 4-4), or from "[Storage] Menu" (p. 6-11) on
"RISO Console".
• The data saved on a USB flash drive can be
printed from the [USB] - [Load] screen by
connecting the USB flash drive to the machine.
You can also save the data to this machine by
copying it to a folder on the machine. (p. 5-9
"Copy to Folder")
• PRN files are output by the printer driver in a
format that was developed exclusively for RISO
KAGAKU CORPORATION. PRN files cannot be
opened using printers or applications by other
manufacturers.
• The computer user name is added, as the
owner, to the data saved to a folder on the
machine.
■ Destination Folder Settings
The folders registered in [Folder Entry] on the
[Environment] tab are displayed in [Destination]. (p. 3-31
"[Environment] Tab")

In [Output], select [Print & Storage],
[Storage], or [Save to USB Drive].

Click [Details].
The [Output] dialog box is displayed.

In the [Destination] pull-down menu,
select the directory of the original
data.
• The available folders are displayed in the
[Destination] list.

Click [OK].
The selected folder name is displayed in the
[Destination] field.
