Configure the repetition.
[ON]: The overlay image will be repeatedly layered
over the original.
[OFF]: The image will not be repeated. The image
on the specified page in the specified file will be
used just once in order over the original. The image
will not be layered over the rest of the pages of the
original.
6
Configure the Priority Layer.
[Original]: The original will be layered on top of the
overlay image.
[Overlay Image]: The overlay image will be layered
on top of the original.

Touch [OK].
• Use an overlay image (image saved in the
storage) that is the same size as the original.
The image cannot be enlarged or reduced for
layering.
• The overlay image is to be saved in the storage
with the setting for simplex printing.
• When the resolution of the original differs from
the resolution of the overlay image, the printout
may become coarse. Make copies upon
matching the [Image Quality] settings for the
original and the overlay image.
• Even when the overlay image is a color image,
if the copy is set to black and white, the image
will also be copied in black and white.
• If the size or orientation of the paper differs
between the original and overlay image, the
overlay function will be unavailable.
• Documents are saved in the storage in the form
of data that includes setting details. When
printing a document, be sure to do so with the
same type of paper as that which was
configured when the document was saved in
the storage. When you change the paper type,
the printing result changes.
• If the original and the overlay image overlap on
the portions having the same color, it might be
difficult to distinguish the image of the
assimilated portions.

Program
This option is convenient when the number of
required copies varies by group (such as corporate
division or classes).
You can program settings for the number of copies
and sets, sorting, slip sheets, and other options for
each group. This enables you to quickly print
exactly the number of copies of the number of sets
you need.
• You can configure up to 60 groups.
• [Program] cannot be used together with
[Booklet] or [Separation]. (p. 1-16 "Booklet",
p. 1-27 "Separation")
■ Examples of Entering the Number of
Copies and Sets
You can enter up to 9,999 copies and up to 99 sets.
For example, to distribute a leaflet to the parents of all
first-grade students in school, you can use the [Program]
function to print the required number of copies for each
class with a single copy job.
