Dialing In and Invoking RMC

To dial in to the modem on COM1, dial the modem, and type the escape
sequence to bring up the RMC. Use the hangup command to terminate the
session.
A sample dial-in dialog would look similar to the following:

Dialing In and Invoking RMC
1. Dial the number for the modem connected to the modem port. See
t he above example. The RMC prompts for a password with a "#"
character. See

2. Enter the password that you set with the setpass command.
You have three tries to correctly enter the password. After three incorrect
tries, the connection is terminated, and the modem is not answered again for 5
minutes. When you successfully enter the password, the RMC banner is
displayed. See
. You are connected to the system COM1 port, and you
have control of the SRM console.
NOTE: At this point no one at the local terminal can perform any tasks except for typing
the RMC escape sequence. The local terminal displays any SRM console output entered
remotely.
