To prepare your system for installation and removal of components, you will need to
assemble the required equipment and familiarize yourself with antistatic precautions.
You only need to remove the left side panel (top panel on a rackmount) to access the
user-replaceable internal components and controllers as shown in Figure 8-1.

You need the following equipment to perform the installation and removal
procedures.
Phillips screwdriver
Antistatic wrist strap
Option board kit or device kit, if necessary
