Example 4-6 shows a boot from a CD-ROM on a local drive. The example is
abbreviated. For complete instructions on booting OpenVMS, see the
OpenVMS installation document.
3. Power up the system. The system stops at the SRM console prompt,
P00>>>.
4. Set boot environment variables, if desired.
5. Install the boot medium.
6. Enter the show device command
drive for your device.
7. Enter the boot command and command-line parameters (if you have not
set the associated environment variables.) In this example, the boot
command with the -flags option
[SYS0.EXE] on device DKA0.
