Marking the Installation Area in the Rack

Determine the installation area as shown in Figure 3-3.

The installation of the rackmount system requires 8.75 inches (5U) of vertical
height in the rack.
1. Mark the midpoint hole on the vertical rail as shown in Figure 3-3. The
midpoint hole must be selected so that the holes immediately above and
immediately below are equidistant (.625 inches).
2. Mark the corresponding hole on the other three rails.
