NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel (see page 20-61).

2. Remove the tailgate spoiler (see page 20-140).

3. Disconnect the tailgate harness connectors (A), and rear window defogger connector (B). Detach the harness clips

(C), and remove the grommets (D), then remove the wire harness (E) from the tailgate (F).
