Rear Heater-A/C
Rear Blower Motor Low Speed Circuit Troubleshooting (cont'd)
7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
8. Measure the voltage between the No. 5 terminal of
the rear blower motor low relay 5P socket and body
ground.
REAR BLOWER MOTOR LOW RELAY 5P SOCKET
Is there battery voltage?
YES
Go to step 9.
NO
Repair open in the wire between the No. 3
fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box and
the rear blower motor low relay.
9. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
10. Disconnect the rear heater-A/C main switch 10P
connector and the rear heater-A/C passenger's
control panel 10P connector.

11. Check for continuity between the No. 3 terminal of
the rear blower motor low relay 5P socket and the
No. 6 terminal of the rear heater-A/C main switch
10P connector, and between the No. 3 terminal of
the rear blower motor low relay 5P socket and the
No. 2 terminal of the rear heater-A/C passenger's
control panel 10P connector.

Is there continuity?
YES
Test the rear heater-A/C main switch (see
page 21-140) and the rear heater-A/C passenger's
control panel (see page 21-141). Replace the switch
as needed.
NO
Repair open in the wire between the rear
blower motor low relay and the rear heater-A/C
main switch, or between the rear blower motor low
relay and the rear heater-A/C passenger's control
panel.
