4. With the driver's multiplex control unit still disconnected, make these input tests at the connector and fuse/relay
box socket.
• If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
• If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.

Test condition
Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to ground:
(II), and shift lever There should be less than 1 V.

Brake pedal Check for voltage to ground:
pushed There should be battery
voltage.
Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to ground:
(II) and wiper There should be battery
switch at INT voltage.
Ignition switch ON Check wiper motor operation:
(II), wiper switch The wiper motor should run
OFF, jump A11 to at low speed.

Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to ground:
(II) and washer There should be battery
switch ON voltage.
Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to ground:
(II), wiper switch in There should be battery

Under all Check for continuity to

Ignition switch ON (II), Check for voltage to ground:
