Landing Pad configuration

To implement Network Skill-Based Routing in a network with one or more
CS 2x00/DMS switches, Landing Pads are required.
A Landing Pad is a unique dialable number. The system uses Landing Pads to
track a call from source to destination when regular telephony information
provided at the source and at the target for that call is not enough to uniquely
differentiate between arriving calls. For example, the system uses Landing Pads
when no means exists to convey a Network Call ID with the call to target in
voice-call signaling. Landing Pads are normally grouped as a pool of resources
and are constantly reused. To use Landing Pads, you must have Universal
Networking enabled on the server.
To configure Landing Pads on the CS 2x00/DMS switch
The CS 2x00/DMS switch treats CDN Landing Pads as standard CDNs (Route
Points) and treats DNIS Landing Pads as standard DNISs. To configure CDN
Landing Pads and DNIS Landing Pads on the CS 2x00/DMS switch, see "DN
configuration" on page 94.
To configure CDN Landing Pads on the server
You configure CDN Landing Pads on the Landing Pads page of the CDNs
(Route Points) window in the Configuration component of Contact Center
Manager Administration. As with standard CDNs (Route Points), if you
configure CDN Landing Pads on the CS 2x00/DMS switch, you must configure
matching data in Contact Center Manager Administration. If you edit the data in
Contact Center Manager Administration, you must reconfigure the resource on
the CS 2x00/DMS switch and vice versa. For more information, see
"Configuring a CDN Landing Pad" on page 123.
If you reconfigure a CDN Landing Pad, you must first deacquire the CDN, edit
the configuration parameters on the CS 2x00/DMS switch, and then reacquire
the CDN.
