RAN and music route configuration

Use RAN and music routes to provide announcements or music to callers while
they wait in a queue.
On an SL-100 or DMS switch, RAN refers to announcements that you create on
the Digitally Recorded Announcement Machine (DRAM) or the Enhanced
Digital Recorded Announcement Machine (EDRAM). For more information,
see the DMS-100 Family Digital Recorded Announcement Machine DRAM and
EDRAM Guide.
On a Media Server 20x0, that is on a greenfield switch (a CS 2100 or a CS 2000
switch), RAN refers to provisioned announcement services. For more
information, see the Media Server 2000 Series Basics document.
To configure RAN and music routes, perform the following tasks:
1.
In the CLLI (Common Language Locator Identifier) table, define trunks to
use for music and RAN.
2.
In DRAMS table, define RAN circuits. This step is applicable only on a
SL-100/DMS switch. It is not applicable on a CS 2100 or a CS 2000
switch.
3.
In the ANNS table, configure announcements and music.
4.
In the ANNMEMS table, associate announcements and music with trunk
cards.
5.
Using the DRAMREC utility, record announcements. This step is
applicable only on a SL-100/DMS switch. It is not applicable on a CS 2100
or a CS 2000 switch.
6.
In the AUDIO table, define treatments.
The AUDIO table defines audio routes available for broadcast for ACD
groups. If you use a GIVE RAN or GIVE MUSIC command in a script, you
must include a parameter specified in the AUDIO table.
For more information, see the Translations Guide.
