Configuring ICM security
To establish a secure ICM session, you must configure the following parameters
on the CS 2x00/DMS switch:
Linkset name—The linkset name is the user-defined name for the Contact
Center Manager Server as it is known to the CS 2x00/DMS switch. The
linkset name creates a logical pathway to the server on the EIU. The linkset
name is configured in the SCAICOMS table. For information about the
linkset name and other parameters that you can configure in the
SCAICOMS table, see "SCAICOMS configuration" on page 61.
Remote host IP address—The remote host IP address that you enter must
match the IP address of the Contact Center Manager Server on the ELAN.
Configure the remote host IP address in the SCAICOMS table. For
information about the remote host IP address and other parameters that you
can configure in the SCAICOMS table, see "SCAICOMS configuration"
on page 61.
Linkset password—A user can use the security feature, along with a valid
user ID, to log on to the CS 2x00/DMS switch. Customers assign
passwords. The linkset password is configured in the SCAIGRP table. For
information about the linkset password and other parameters that you can
configure in the SCAIGRP table, see "SCAIGRP configuration" on page
64.
For information about firewalls and packet filtering, see the ICM Router
Guide.
