Time

The switch software supports the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP). As its name
suggests, it is a less complicated version of Network Time Protocol, which is a system for
synchronizing the clocks of networked computer systems, primarily when data transfer is
handled through the Internet.

Configure the Time Setting

To configure the time setting:
Launch a web browser.
1.
In the address field of your web browser, enter the IP address of the switch.
2.
The login window opens.
Enter the user name and password.
3.
The default admin user name is admin and the default admin password is blank, that is,
do not enter a password.
Click the Login button.
4.
The System Information page displays.
Select System > Management > Time > Time Configuration.
5.
Select the Clock Source Local or SNTP radio button.
6.
The default is SNTP. The local clock can be set to SNTP only if the following two
conditions are met:
The SNTP server is configured.
The SNTP last attempt status is successful.
In the Date field, specify the current date in months, days, and years.
7.
In the Time field, specify the current time in hours, minutes, and seconds.
8.
Click the Apply button.
9.
Your settings are saved.
