(11) Reinstall the Pre-fixing unit cover.
(12) Return the ADU unit to the original position.
(13) Turn the Release lever to the locking position
again and close the Front door.
(14) Plug the power cord and turn the Main switch
ON. Then turn the Main switch OFF after the
completion of the electrode cleaning process.
Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Note:
This process is executed automatically and takes
about 1 minute.
Caution:
• The Cleaning blade is preset to the invalid
position at the factory. The ON/OFF operation
of the Main switch initializes that position and
places the Cleaning blade at the valid position.
• Do not omit this ON/OFF operation for the
another reason that the automatic electrode
cleaning operation is executed simultaneously.
8. Apply the setting powder on the Drum surface.
(1) Open the Front door.
(2) Remove 2 screws (A) and loosen a screw (B)
securing the bracket of the Toner supply unit to
the Main body. Then pull the Slide hinge (C) of
the bracket bottom and open the Toner supply
unit for 180 degree (Fig. 17).

(3) Loosen 3 screws securing the Drum cover and
remove it (Fig. 18).

(4) Turn the Release lever to the right, then remove
2 screws (A) fixing the Drum unit support
assembly and a screw (B) securing the Drum
coupling.
Withdraw the Drum unit support assembly
holding it as shown in the figure (Fig. 19).

Caution:
• Hold by the left hand at the impress marks (K)
on the front panel.
• When drawing out the Drum unit support
assembly, be sure that the ADU unit is returned
in place.

(5) Remove a screw fixing the Developer suction
box. Then pull it out, tilting it as shown in the
figure (Fig. 20).

(6) Release the Developing unit pressure lever as
shown in the figure (Fig. 21).
