[4] Confirmation of operation (FS-108B/108BM only)
1. Turn ON the power switch.
2. Place three originals into the RADF.
3. Operate printing in sort mode to confirm if the
copier works correctly.
4. Operate printing in staple sort mode to confirm if
copies are stapled correctly.
5. Operate printing in Stapling & Folding mode to
check the condition of the function.
(Applicable paper sizes
For Europe: A3 /B4 /A4R
For the U.S.: 11"x17"/8.5"x14"/8.5"x11"R)
a. Confirmation of Folding function
If the copies are not folded in the middle, per-
form the following adjustment.
[Adjustment]
1. Turn the main body into the finisher adjustment
mode.
(1) Turn ON the main switch while pressing nu-
meric keypads c and n simultaneously.
(2) Touch "[6] Finisher Adjustment" on the screen.
2. Perform the Folding stopper size shift adjust-
ment for each paper size.
(1) Check the gap amount on the rear edge of
the folded copy sample.
• Touch "Copy Screen" to change the screen
for copying.
• Make a folded copy sample of the paper size
to be adjusted.
(2) Return to the adjustment screen, then touch
"[2] Folding Stopper Position Adjustment".
(3) Touch [PREVIOUS ADJUSTMENT] [NEXT
ADJUSTMENT] keys on the screen to select
the paper size to be adjusted.
(4) Input the adjustment value by using [+
keys on the screen and numeric keypads.
(5) Toucn [SET] to complete the setting.
(6) Return to the copy screen, make another
copy sample, then check again the gap
amount of the copy sample.
(7) Repeat the above procedure for checking
other paper sizes.
3. Working example
(1) The lower page of the output sample appears
shifted 1.4 mm from the upper page (see the
following illustration).
(2) Input [–7].
*1: Since the example shows the stopper off to
the [+] side, correct the gap to the [–] side.
*2: Input the half of the gap amount on the rear
edge of the folded copy sample to adjust the
stopper position.
*3: The input adjustment value should be an in-
teger that indicates 0.1 mm; i.e. [–7] equals
to –0.7 mm.

b. Confirmation of Stapling & Folding function
If the copies are not stapled at the position ad-
justed in step a, perform the following adjust-
ment.
[Adjustment]
1. Turn the main body into the finisher adjustment
mode.
(1) Turn ON the main switch while pressing nu-
meric keypads c and n simultaneously.
(2) Touch "[6] Finisher Adjustment" on the screen.
2. Perform the Stapling & Folding stopper size shift
adjustment for each paper size.
(1) Check the gap amount of the staple position
on the stapled copy sample.
• Touch "Copy Screen" to change the screen
for copying.
• Make a stapled and folded copy sample of
the paper size to be adjusted.
(2) Return to the adjustment screen, then touch
"[1] Stapling & Folding Stopper Position Ad-
justment".
(3) Touch [PREVIOUS ADJUSTMENT] [NEXT
ADJUSTMENT] keys on the screen to select
the paper size to be adjusted.
(4) Input the adjustment value by using [+
keys on the screen and numeric keypads. (0.1
mm per step)
(5) Toucn [SET] to complete the setting.
(6) Return to the copy screen, make another copy
sample, then check again the gap amount of
the copy sample.
(7) Repeat the above procedure for checking
other paper sizes.
