Overseas use
■
[A] appears and international roaming is not available
Make sure the handset is not outside the service area or in a
place with weak signal.
Refer to international service guide, such as "Mobile Phone
User's Guide [International Services]" to check if the service
area or telecommunications carrier is available.
Search for a telecommunications carrier, which supports the
service by the Network search mode.
After moving from Japan to overseas, switch the 3G/GSM
setting to [AUTO] or other corresponding networks. If [AUTO]
was set in Japan, turn the FOMA terminal on again.
Voice/Videophone calls are not received while using abroad
Make sure Call barring is not set to [Activate].
Make sure V.phone while packet is not set to other than
[V.phone priority].
Videophone is not available while using GSM/GPRS network.
Suddenly making/receiving a call becomes unavailable while using
abroad
Check the accumulated amount of usage at a docomo
Information Center. For international roaming (WORLD WING),
the approximate limit of usage fee is set in advance. If the limit
is exceeded, all services are stopped. Pay off the usage fee to
resume services.
Check the network communication system. If 3G/GSM setting
is set to [AUTO], the specified network is received and
transmission may become unavailable. Switch to [3G] or [GSM/
GPRS] and set the network communication system, which is
compatible with a country or an area where the user is staying.
