Opening new i-mode mail

Receive i-mode mail automatically ([U] flashes).
: To cancel the receiving: Press t.
• Receiving may occur depending on the timing.

After reception, the receive complete screen appears
and the mail ring tone sounds ([U] appears).
: If no operations are performed in the receive complete screen for
approximately 30 seconds, the screen before reception automatically
reappears.
: The stock icon [C] (mail message) appears when the stand-by
display reappears.
: When the FOMA terminal is closed, the sub display shows the total
number of i-mode mail, SMS, and Area Mail.
Stopping the ring tone
: To show the Inbox list screen: Press t.
: To show the screen before reception: Press c or H.
: To show the receive complete screen: Press u.

Select [Mail]/select mail/t.
Check with the FOMA terminal if i-mode mail received from the FOMA
terminal and PCs were received as To, Cc or Bcc.
In the following cases, even if the mail is received, the receive display
and the receive complete screen do not appear. Also, Mail ring tone
does not sound, Mail/Message LED and Mail vibration do not activate.
Calls are in progress
Camera is being activated (excluding Character reader and Bar
code reader)
GPS positioning is being performed
Pattern definitions are being updated
1Seg is being watched/recorded (except when using Multi Window)
Movie is being played
Area Mail is being automatically displayed
Data on the microSD Card is being viewed
i-motion is being downloaded (Streaming type)
i-Widget is being activated
i-appli is running
During presentation assist
Displaying mail ticker
When Mail ticker setting is set to [Sender+title] or [Only notice], the mail
ticker appears in the screen if mail is received while other functions are
being activated.
In the following cases, the mail ticker cannot be displayed.
Camera is being activated
Document Viewer is being activated
i-Widget is being activated
Custom menu/Basic menu/Touch menu is being displayed
During a Videophone call
Data is being sent/received via Ir/iC/Bluetooth communication
Mail is being sent/received
Still picture, i-motion, movie, or Music&Video Channel is being
displayed in full screen
In the normal position/vertical view with the viewer position, the
i-concier screen is being displayed

In stand-by, press m/[Mail setting]/[Mail ticker
set].

Select an item/t.
Example: When mail is received while 1Seg is being watched
Mail ticker display
: To view the Inbox list screen: Press m (for 1+ seconds).
• In the viewer position: Press & (for 1+ seconds) or touch the mail
ticker.
