Shortcut menu
Starting frequently used function
quickly
Save frequently used functions as shortcuts for easy access.
The functions saved to this position are executed
by pressing 1 to 3 (for 1+ seconds) in the
stand-by display.
Default setting
1: Bar code reader
2: Receive Ir data
3: Card reader

In stand-by, press p.
: In the viewer position, quickly slide down to display the shortcut
menu and operate with the touch panel.

Select a shortcut icon/t.
: Alternatively, press dial keys.
• The order of the shortcut menu corresponds to the keypad layout.
Submenu operations for Shortcut menu screen

[Register shortcut]/select the function to register/C/[Yes]
Save the Shortcut menu.
[Move icon]/select the destination to move/t
Switch positions of shortcut icons.
[Delete]
/[Delete one]/[Yes]
/[Delete all]/enter the terminal security code/t/[Yes]
[Reset shortcut]/enter the terminal security code/t/[Yes]
Reset the Shortcut menu to default settings.
[Register shortcut]
Save up to 12 shortcuts.
When registered i-appli software itself is deleted, it is deleted from the
Shortcut menu.
A confirmation screen asking whether to overwrite does not appear
when a new shortcut is registered.

Searching by various methods
Use e-dictionary, i-appli "Internet dictionary", GPS compatible
i-appli, Support Book, search engines and others.

Internal Dictionary Searches by using an e-dictionary registered or set in
advance. Up to five e-dictionaries can be registered
and the e-dictionary can be changed when
searching.
Search by i-mode Searches sites by accessing i-mode when a keyword
(text) is entered by text input.
Search from iMenu Searches from iMenu by accessing i-mode.
Map Search (text) Activates GPS compatible i-appli and searches by
text input.
Support Book Searches by using Support Book.

i-appli Dictionary Searches by activating i-appli "Internet dictionary".
Search by i-mode Searches sites by accessing i-mode when a keyword
(voice) is entered by voice input.
Search by full Connects to Full Browser and searches sites when a
browser keyword is entered by text input. The search engine
can be changed.
Map Search (voice) Activates GPS compatible i-appli and searches a
map by voice input.
Data box Search Searches data in Data box.
