The following devices are required to use the FOMA terminal as a
microSD reader/writer.

Cable FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02
PC A PC with a USB port (Universal Serial Bus
Specification Rev. 1.1/2.0-compliant) is usable with
the FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02
Compatible OS Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista (all
Japanese versions)
If the screen stating that new hardware is searched appears on the PC,
click [キャンセル].
If the FOMA terminal is not properly connected to the PC, sending and
receiving data may not be possible, or data may be lost.
When the battery level is low or empty, sending and receiving data may
not be possible, or data may be lost. Check the PC power supply as
well.
Do not remove the microSD Card while switching to microSD mode or
in microSD mode. Data may be damaged and operation may not work
properly.
Do not remove the FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02 while
reading/writing data. Sending and receiving data may not be possible,
or data may be lost.
Updating microSD Card manager information
<New manager info>
Update Manager information if microSD Card is used with other devices.

In the Custom menu, select
[New manager info].

Select an item/t/C/[Yes].
Perform operation when battery level is sufficient.
Manager information may not be updated if there is no available space
on the microSD Card.
Explanation
[LifeKit]/[microSD]/
The microSD Card may not operate properly if the manager information
is not updated on the FOMA terminal.
Updating may take time depending on the number of files and the
amount of data on the microSD Card.
Do not remove microSD Card while updating.
The following functions cannot be used while updating.

Bar code reader Document Viewer
Ir communication Checking memory of microSD Card
Viewing to microSD data from each function
Checking data created with PC and other
devices on the FOMA terminal
Use the DOCOMO keitai datalink (nP. 448) to copy data created on a PC
or other devices to the Import folder of the microSD Card. Use the FOMA
terminal to check the data.
If [MUSIC] is selected, Chaku-uta full
microSD Card is displayed.

In the same way as usual, the Submenu can be used to delete, copy or
move, and display data.
Not all still pictures (JPEG, GIF) larger than 4,076 (W) × 4,076 (H)
pixels can be viewed. In such cases, thumbnail images may appear.
PDF files cannot be displayed when saved in the Import folder. Copy to
the FOMA terminal handset to display.
Movie cannot be copied to the FOMA terminal handset.
Attached files may be deleted in part or in whole under the following
conditions.
A file exceeding 100 KB is attached
11 or more files are attached
