2.9.3 PoE injector
The picture below shows an example of an M2M application using a PoE injector to
provide the power to the EXPLORER 540 through the LAN interface. Note that the PoE
injector must comply with the requirements for PoE+ IEEE 802.3at type 2 class 4. The
PoE injector is connected to a power supply and "adds" power to the LAN connection
for the EXPLORER 540. For specifications and pinout for the LAN interface on the
