5.5.2 Status signaling
Means of signaling
The EXPLORER 540 system provides two methods for signaling the status of the
system.
• LED between the cable glands.
• Messages shown in the web interface.
LED
The EXPLORER 540 has one LED showing status before and during installation. The
Status LED is located between the two cable glands.

The LED is only in use until installation is completed, and is automatically
disabled 10 minutes after the connection is established. After this, the LED is
only active during reboot of the EXPLORER 540 or if you restart the
installation process.
Meaning
Starting up.
BGAN pointing.
Verify network connectivity.
Ready.
Closing down.
Warning (user recoverable). See web interface for the warning text.
Error. See the web interface.
Uploading software to the terminal, or
Safe mode (see Reset button on page 5-4).
Power off.
