To prepare the USB memory stick
Do as follows:
1. Download the EXPLORER 540 software to your computer.
2. Insert the USB memory stick into your computer and copy the EXPLORER 540
software image file to the USB drive.
3. Rename the file name to "tt3715a.tiif".
4. Remove the USB memory stick from the computer.
To make a recovery software update
Do as follows:
1. Prepare the USB stick as described in the previous section.
2. Insert the Micro USB end of the converter cable into the EXPLORER 540 Micro USB
connector in the cable compartment on the back of the EXPLORER 540.
3. Push and hold the Reset button while powering on the EXPLORER 540. Hold until
the LED is flashing rapidly blue.
4. Insert the USB memory stick with the new software into the standard USB end of
the converter cable.
The EXPLORER 540 reads the software image from the USB memory stick and starts
the software update process (LED flashing slowly blue).
5. Wait for the status LED to become green to indicate the software update process is
completed.
6. Remove the USB memory stick.
7. Switch the EXPLORER 540 off and on again.
