Proper setting
The purpose of the hook thread clamp (1) is to clamp the hook thread
during the cutting process so that it can be safely caught by the needle
thread when starting the seam.
The hook thread should be held safely at the lowest pressure possible.
To set the position of the hook thread clamp:
1. Cut the threads with the hand-operated thread-pulling knife (2).
2. Pull the thread out of the hook thread clamp in order to check the
clamping efficiency.
3. Loosen the screws (3).
4. Shift the hook thread clamp (1) accordingly.
5. Tighten the screws (3).
Important
An incorrect setting may cause problems when starting the seam.
