SNMP Trap Configuration

© Polycom, Inc.
Polycom ReadiManager LX100 can be configured to send SNMP traps to SNMP
management systems, such as CA Unicenter or HP OpenView, when it detects that a
certain type of event has occurred. Before Polycom ReadiManager LX100 can send
SNMP traps, the SNMP service on the local server must be enabled and started. Refer
to your Windows documentation for how to enable the SNMP service.
SNMP traps can be sent once every 8 hours when any of the following occurs:
License limit
Codec Manager (Primary Service) shuts down and starts up
Gatekeeper Authorization Service restarts
System Host Service restarts
Remote Management Service restarts
Monitor Service restarts
Schedule Launch Service restarts
Remote SQL Service restarts
Task Schedule Service restarts
Test of SNMP traps
Schedule Service failure
Conference end failure
Endpoint Error condition
Conference start failure
Conference participant connect failure
Monitor Service failure
Equipment failure
Once an event is triggered, the SNMP trap is sent to the SNMP manager.
