Troubleshooting with Debug Tools

Polycom ReadiManager LX100 includes a number of tools that can be used to help
troubleshoot problems.
Warning: Changing the Debug settings can impact the performance of your video
network. In most cases, these tools should only be used when working with Polycom
technical support and should be set to zero when not in used. Debug messages are
output to a file called
messages.txt
if a high debug level is chosen or if the debug period is long.
To access the debug tools
1.
From the menu bar, choose Admin > Console.

When you are troubleshooting serious video network problems, it can be useful to see
details about all the activity on the network. The Debug Level settings allow you to
capture information in a log file about five different areas of Polycom ReadiManager
LX100 activity: Gatekeepers, PanAlert, Processes, Scheduling, and SQL
There are three different levels of debugging information available, which capture
increasing amounts of information, from 0 (none) to 3 (all).
Warning: Do not change the Debug Level values unless you are working with Polycom
technical support and are asked to do so. Debug information is captured in a log file,
which fills quickly. Turning on a debug level and leaving it on will very quickly use up a
large amount of disk space and CPU resources. In most cases, you will turn on a debug
level, perform a particular task related to what you are trying to troubleshoot, and
