Make any adjustments you want to the criteria, such as changing the filter, and
click
Run Report
to generate the data for the report.
If you make changes to the report criteria that you want to save, click Save. This
will save the settings in the same Saved Report.
Custom reports let you create a customized report that includes data from more than
one table or view. In order to include multiple tables, you join them.
The Custom Report folder includes many of the same tables and views that the
Standard Reports folder does. However, entries in the Standard Reports folder cannot
be joined to others, to create a customer report. You must start in the Custom Reports
Folder.
To illustrate how to create a custom report, the steps below describe the example of
creating a report that shows what conferences were created by each Polycom
ReadiManager LX100 user. To create such a report, you need data from two tables: the
Conference table, which holds data about conferences, and the Employee table, which
contains data about users.
Note:
Developing complex reports requires an understanding of how the reporting database
is structured and what fields (or columns) in different tables are related to each other.
Table 6-1 on page 111 shows a list of some common joins. If you need additional assistance,

To create a custom report
1.
From the menu bar, choose Reports > Administration.
2.
Click the Custom Reports icon.
3.
In the Custom Reports section of the Reports list, expand the first table or view
you want to use in the report.
4.
Select the field you want to join to another table and click the
Joins are typically made between fields designated as "IDs." (Most of the time,
these fields have "ID" appended to their name.) These fields contain data with
similar values.
In the Conference table, there are several different ID fields. CreatorID is the one
that can identify who created the conference—the Polycom ReadiManager LX100
administrator.
