Add the field you want to group summarize data for to the Grouped Fields list.
In this example, you want to see summaries for a user, so you will group by the
Employee Last Name.

In the Display Field list box, right-click on the field you want to summarize and
choose the type of summary.
In this example, you want to count the number of conferences per user, so you
right-click on Conference ID and select Summary > Count.
