Electrostatic Discharge

Caution – The boards and hard drives contain electronic components that are
extremely sensitive to static electricity. Ordinary amounts of static electricity from
clothing or the work environment can destroy components. Do not touch the
components themselves or any metal parts. Wear an antistatic wrist strap when
handling the drive assemblies, boards, or cards.
Caution – Wear an antistatic wrist strap and use an antistatic mat when handling
components. When servicing or removing workstation components, attach an ESD
strap to your wrist and then to a metal area on the chassis. Then disconnect the
power cord from the workstation and the wall receptacle. Following this caution
equalizes all electrical potentials with the workstation.
5.3.5

Lithium Battery

Caution – The workstation contains a replaceable lithium battery, part number 150-
2850. Lithium batteries may explode if mishandled. Do not dispose of a battery in
fire. Do not disassemble a battery or attempt to recharge it.
