Requirements for SNMP Support
For SNMP support, you must install Windows 2000 SNMP service from the Windows 2000 CD
Management and Monitoring Tools window.
IMPORTANT: If you want to monitor your ServerNet II SAN using CIM XE (SNMP), you must enable
(install) SNMP Services during the Windows 2000 installation before you can install ServerNet II SNMP
agents AND drivers. No agents will load if these services are disabled. If you did not initially install these
services, you need to add them from the Windows 2000 CD. Once you install them, you must open the
Windows Control Panel/Computer Manager/Services and configure the parameters listed there. See the
Windows 2000 documentation for help with configuring these parameters.
