Steps 7 and 8 describe how to configure the node.
NOTE: For a switchless configuration (which has no primary administrative node), see the section
"Configuring a Switchless SAN Topology" in this chapter.
7. Start the ServerNet II Installation program (if it is already running, go to Step 8):
a. (Automatically) If the ServerNet II CD is not in your CD-ROM drive, insert it into that
drive. The Compaq ServerNet II Installation screen should display automatically.
b. If, for some reason when you insert the CD, the program fails to start automatically,
click the My Computer icon on the desktop, then double-click on the CD-ROM drive
or access the CD-ROM drive through Start/Run. This should automatically display the
Compaq ServerNet II Installation screen.
c. You can also start it from the CD-ROM in Windows Explorer. The Installation
executable on the ServerNet II CD is called install.exe.
The Software License Agreement appears the first time you invoke the ServerNet II
software (it will not appear again).
