Problem-Solution Troubleshooting

(Use primarily for existing configurations) In this troubleshooting approach, you identify a
problem then look at the recommended solution. This is a "top down" approach.
Symptom
No power to server
Unsure of voltage setting.
Power LED is off
When Switch is powered on, not all the LEDs light and most
of them don't stay on.
Fault LED on Switch is on
Port LED not lit when cable is plugged into Switch
Both X and Y fabric LEDs on Switch are off or both are on
Wrong fabric LED is on for the Switch
Installation does not match configuration.
Diagnostics isn't running
Topology test fails.
Echo test fails after topology test passes.
Router test fails after echo test passes.
No results file is generated after Diagnostics runs
Cannot access CLI
Message "invalid command name "help."
No DLL is displayed in the onscreen list
Communication between nodes fails.
Ping does not work.
