Installing ServerNet II
Applications and Utilities
You now need to install the ServerNet II Administrative Utility (SANUtil) so you can add the
primary administrative node Switches and the end nodes to the SAN, as well as add other
applications that will be used for Diagnostics and management.
NOTE: While you do not have to install SANUtil on every node in the SAN (although we recommend that
you do so), you should at least install it on the primary administrative node. You should, however, install
Diagnostics software on every node so that you can use it for testing.
Steps 1-12 describe how to use the ServerNet II Installation
program to install utilities and applications.
1. To install the ServerNet II applications, maximize the ServerNet II Installation program.
Or, if you exited this program, restart it either by double-clicking the CD-ROM drive in
My Computer, which will launch install.exe, or by double-clicking install.exe from
Windows Explorer.
