Invoking Diagnostics

You may start the Diagnosticsprogram from Start/Programs, from Start/Run..., or from
Windows Explorer. These are standard Microsoft Windows methods to start applications and
each is described below.
NOTE: You do not have to terminate other applications while Diagnostics are running.
Invoking Diagnostics from Start/Programs
1. Click on
2. Select Programs from the list.
3. Select the ServerNet OnLine Diagnostics program to open the related options.
4. From ServerNet OnLine Diagnostics, select the test you want to run, either All, Echo,
Routing, or Topology.
Invoking Diagnostics from Run.../Browse...
1. Click on
2. Select Run...
3. Select Browse...
4. From the Browse window, locate the directory in which you installed Diagnostics. (If not
otherwise specified, the installation program installs Diagnostics on C:\Program
Files\ServerNet\ServerNet Online Diagnostics.)
5. Highlight the appropriate Diagnostic file:
Test_All_SAN.bat
Test_Echo_SAN.bat
Test_Topology_SAN.bat
Test_Routing_SAN.bat
Sodcli.bat (See Appendix H, "ServerNet II Diagnostic Resources" for information about using interactive
mode.)
6. Select Open. The file appears in the Run window.
7. To launch the selected Diagnostic test, select OK.
Invoking Diagnostics from a Directory
1. In Windows Explorer, locate the directory in which you installed Diagnostics. (If not
otherwise specified, the installation program installs Diagnostics on C:\Program
Files\ServerNet\ServerNet Online Diagnostics.)
2. To launch a specific Diagnostic test, double-click on the appropriate Diagnostic file:
Test_All_SAN.bat
Test_Echo_SAN.bat
