Steps to take
Identifiers such as "PU 1, SLED 1" are used for reference in Table F-3.
SLED 1
Power on the Switch.
SLED 2
Check the Fault LED on the front of the
Switch.
SLED 3
Check port LEDS (located on the side of the
Switch by the cable connectors)

Possible Solution
Normal Switch operation. No action required.
Replace the Switch.
Contact Compaq Customer Support
Check the connections on the Switch and
Adapter.
Ensure cable is plugged into the correct ports
on the Switch and Adapter.
Power up the node.
Ensure Windows 2000 is running on the end
node
Ensure cable is plugged into a ServerNet II
adapter
Replace the cable.
1. Power down the slot if the server is not PCI
Hot Plug compliant.
2. Properly seat the Adapter in the slot.
3. Replace the Adapter.
Follow the server instructions to power up the
slot.
Replace the Switch.
