NOTE: The ServerNet IP address you assign must not fall within any other existing subnet
on your network. If you inadvertently assign addresses within your own address space,
unpredictable results may occur. The idea is to create a private network for the
ServerNet II connections.
Use the same subnet mask for all ServerNet II nodes.
f. Select OK to back out of the screens.
24. Check the event log to see if it logged the connection(s).
Steps 25-27 are for the second node.
25. Power up the second node on which you want to load drivers. The Windows Found New
Hardware Wizard appears and leads you through the installation of the drivers on the
second Adapter.
26. Repeat Steps 3-24 to configure the Adapter in the other server.
27. Once both Adapters are configured, ping from each node to the other node using
the IP addresses.
Once you configure both Adapters, the switchless SAN topology is complete.
