Event Message and Corrective Action
Event Message: ServerNet II VIVA driver is installed. Number of NICs installed = n
Corrective Action: None
Event Message:
ServerNet VIVA driver not loaded - couldn't acquire enough memory.
Corrective Action:
There is not enough system memory on this node. Using the Device Manager, check
memory consumption. Reduce consumption of memory resource (reduce the
number of applications or individual application memory allocation, and so forth) or
add more physical memory.
Using the Device Manager, disable and enable the Compaq ServerNet II PCI Adapter
Driver to restart the ServerNet II VI Kernel Driver.
Event Message: ServerNet VIVA driver failed to install a NIC.
Corrective Action: The problem could be created either by the failure of the operating
system to create a device object, or by a system resource problem.
Using the Device Manager, the Compaq ServerNet II PCI Adapter Driver to restart the
ServerNet II VI Kernel Driver.
If the aforementioned action does not eliminate the problem, use the Task Manager
to check memory consumption on the node. If there is a problem. reduce
consumption of memory resources (reduce the number of applications or individual
application memory allocation, and so forth) or add more physical memory.
Using the Device Manager, disable and enable the Compaq ServerNet II PCI Adapter
Driver to restart the ServerNet II VI Kernel Driver.
