This appendix describes the SNMP and the software interfaces of the ServerNet II Switch and
Adapter that are used by SNMP management applications.
NOTE: The acronyms SPA and SPAD refer to the ServerNet II PCI Adapter and the ServerNet II PCI
Adapter driver, respectively.

The following Compaq components, present on each node, are used to implement SNMP
management of the Switch:
The ServerNet II Switch agent extension DLL to the Microsoft Windows 2000 Extendible

Agent is contained in the file switchae.dll. When the switchae.dll is loaded by the
Microsoft Windows 2000 Extendible Agent, the ServerNet II Switch agent extension DLL
enables authorized SNMP managers to read the values of accessible ServerNet II Switch
objects. ServerNet II Switch objects, which are defined by the ServerNet II Switch MIB,
include the following:
