Troubleshooting Overview

This appendix provides both step-by-step and problem-solution approaches to troubleshooting
ServerNet II. You may find either or both scenarios helpful, depending on the circumstances.
The step-by-step "bottom up" (structured method for discovering faults based on functions not
symptoms or events) approach troubleshoots the following areas:

The problem-solution "top down" approach troubleshoots these same areas, for example:
"The power LED doesn't light."

NOTE: Currently there are no Diagnostic tests for the Virtual Interface (VI).
