Batch Mode Diagnostics Examples

The following examples describe and show a sample report for each Diagnostic test.
Diagnostics test results are displayed on the monitor of the local host computer (the computer
from which you are running Diagnostics). When run in batch mode, test results are also saved as
an ASCII (text) file, readable with Microsoft Notepad or other word processors.
Example 1: Running the Echo Test in Batch Mode
When run in the batch mode, the echo test performs two individual tests from the Local Host
(the machine you are running the test on) to every computer node known to be on the SAN.
Port X test -- Sends the request out of the X port of the Local Host
I
Port Y test -- Sends the request out of the Y port of the Local Host
I
Figure 3-1 shows an example of echo tests results.
NOTE: In the example file, Local Port 0 is Port X; Local Port 1 is Port Y.
========================
Results of the Echo Test
========================
Each row in the following table represents one test. The first column
indicates the result of the test. The second column is the port of the
local node out of which the test ServerNet packet was sent. The third
column is the name of the target processor node. The fourth column is
the ServerNet Id of the target node.
This test was run from (Local Host) computer 'HW-TB6-S03'.
