How Diagnostics Works
ServerNet II Online Diagnostics runs on a computer (the "local host computer") that is attached
to the ServerNet II System Area Network (SAN), as shown in Figure H-1. The target, against
which the Diagnostics are run, is a Switch or node located on the ServerNet II SAN. The results
of the Diagnostics are displayed on the local host computer monitor.

The test results text file is readable with Microsoft Notepad or other word processors. The test
results file name uses an incrementing name. The name of the first file is results001.txt. Each
