Steps 21-22 describe how to check that the drivers are loaded.
21. Reopen the Device Manager if you closed it and look for the following items:
a. Check that the Network adapters directory contains the NDIS miniport driver, which is
used to access the ServerNet II hardware.
b. Check that the SAN Adapter directory contains the Adapter and VI drivers.
NOTE: Should the drivers not appear as described in Step 21 a and b, you will need to reinstall them.
See Appendix F, "ServerNet II ServerNet II Troubleshooting" for additional help.
22. Close the Device Manager.
Steps 23-24 describe how to configure the IP address so you can
ping the connection.
23. Configure the IP address of the primary administrative node, which allows TCP/IP packets
to be sent through ServerNet II following these steps:
a. Select Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network and Dial-Up Connections. Or right-click
on My Network Places and select Properties.
b. Double-click on the ServerNet II Adapter Local Area Connection you want to
configure the IP address for. Or, right-click on the device and select Properties. The
Local Area Connection Properties screen for the Adapter appears.
c. On the General tab, double-click on TCP/IP. Or, highlight TCP/IP and select
Properties. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties screen appears.
d. Click the radio button beside Use the following IP address.
e. Enter the IP address and subnet mask in the areas provided.
