6.4.3 Smart Devices

The Smart Devices screen provides parameters for establishing and configuring Bluetooth
communication with a smart device.
Main Menu → Advanced Setup → Comm & Network → Smart
1. Go to:
Figure 6.4.3: Comm & Network: Smart Devices Screen – Shown Enabled
2. The Bluetooth parameter's default is Disabled. If set to Enabled, the following additional
parameters appear:
Unit ID: Displays the Bluetooth device ID for the boiler as seen on a smart device.
This is set to unit S/N at the factory and does not change.
PIN: Press Enter and type the PIN required to authenticate pairing to the device.
Paired To: Displays the name of the Smart Device that the unit is currently paired
with and is actively connected (long names are truncated). If the name cannot be
found, the MAC address is displayed.
Inactivity Timeout: Specifies the inactive time in minutes, after which the
connection is automatically severed. (Range: 2 to 15 min.)
Clear Connections: Choose Yes or No. If set to Yes, the list of all paired devices is
cleared.

6.4.4 Ethernet

The Ethernet screen will typically have the DHCP option Enabled, and therefore won't require
additional configuration. If the DHCP is Disabled, the parameters shown below are available for
editing with addresses the unit can use to communicate with the network.
NOTE:
Ethernet communication requires an Ethernet cable to be plugged into the Ethernet port on the
Controller's left side (see Figure 6.2.7.1-1 in
