SECTION 6 – ADVANCED SETUP

After a voltage change, allow a minute or more for T to stabilize.
•
An adjustment to one unit can have a minor effect on some or all of the other units in the
cascade. Allow enough time after each adjustment for it to take full effect before making
the next adjustment.
•
The previous point is especially true for large cascades, as it will take time for the effect
of each adjustment to ripple thought the entire cascade.
11. Repeat the previous step on the next unit and wait for T to stabilize.
12. Repeat Step 10 for most of the remaining units in the cascade. Note, it is common to
exclude one unit from balancing, so that unit's isolation valve opens to 100%. This will make
it easier for the remaining units to maintain the target T (i.e., prevent choking). If you have
trouble balancing all remaining units, try excluding 2 (or possibly more) units from balancing.
13. Once the last unit has been balanced, press Complete. All the new isolation valve voltage
values are stored on the BST Manager and the new values are transmitted separately to
each unit. This may take several minutes to complete.
14. You can press Abort at any point before pressing Complete. If so, the Valve Balancing –
Abort screen appears. You can choose:
•
Yes: Exits Valve Balancing without saving any values.
•
Save Defaults: Saves factory default signal settings.
•
No: Cancels the Abort.

15. If the system experiences three or more over-temperature faults during valve balancing, the
function will be interrupted, and the following screen displayed. You can abort or retry this
operation.
