ROCKER ARMS AND ROCKER ARM SHAFTS
Rocker Arms
Confirm identification mark and assemble correctly.
Assembled cylinders
Intake Exhaust
1 and 3 A C
2 and 4

Rocker Arms Shaft
Insert the rocker arm shaft into the front bearing cap so that the
notch on the shaft faces up, and insert the installation bolt with-
out tightening it.
Bearing Cap
Caps 2,3 and 4 are of similar shape and require attention to the
cap number (stamped on) during assembly.
Rocker Cover
When rocker cover is installed, apply sealant to semi-circular
packing and cylinder head top surfaces.
Sealant
Rocker cover Three-bond No.10 or equivalent
CAUTION
Make sure that rocker cover bolts are tightened to specified
torque. If they., are overtorqued. a deformed rocker cover or
oil leakage could result.
Tightening torque
Rocker cover bolts .
4.9-6.9 Nm (50-70 kg.cm, 3.6-5.1 Ib.ft)
