AUTOMATIC SPEED CONTROL (CRUISE)
STOP LAMP SWITCH
INSPECTION
After operating the stop lamp switch. check continuity between
the terminals.

Check following item by using an ohmmeter.

CHECKING INHIBITOR SWITCH ("N" AND "P" POSI-
TIONS)
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Check to be sure that there is continuity between connector
(E12) terminals 3 and 5. 3 and 4 when the shift lever is
moved to the "N" range and the "P" range.
CHECKING ACTUATOR
1. Disconnect the connctor.
2. Measure the resistance value of the clutch coil.
Resistance of clutch coil between connector terminals (1)
- (2)
Standard value : Approx. 550
