ROCKER ARMS AND ROCKER ARM SHAFTS
REMOVAL

1. Before removing the rocker arms and shafts assembly, use
the special tool
(09246-32000)
to ensure that the auto-lash
adjuster doesn't fall out.
CAUTION
Put the rocker arms and auto-lash adjusters in order in cyl-
inder No. separated places with clear distinction between
the intake and exhaust ones to prevent confusion.

Rocker Arms
1. Check rocker arms for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
2. Check to ensure that oil holes are clear.

Check rocker arm mounting portions of rocker arm shaft for
wear or damage. Replace as necessary.

Check to ensure that oil holes are clear.

Insert the auto lash adjuster from below as illustrated, being care-
ful not to spill the diesel fuel inside it. Then use the special tool
(09246-32000)
to prevent adjuster from falling while installing
it.
