6.7 Commissioning: Basic procedure
Configuration
● Click "Configuration" in the "Safety Integrated" screen form:
● This dialog box provides the following setting options for the Extended Functions without
encoder:
– "Drive type"
– "Monitoring cycle clock"
– "Actual value acquisition clock"
– "Extended alarm acknowledgment" (≙ message acknowledgment)
– "Select test stop" (forced dormant error detection)
– "Pulse suppression test time"

Select linear axis or rotary axis / spindle axis type (p9502).
You can set the monitoring cycle for safe motion monitoring (p9500) here.
You can set the cycle time of the actual value acquisition for safe motion monitoring
(p9511) here. The actual value sensing clock cycle must be set the same as the
controller clock cycle (p0115). You can find details about the actual value sensing in
Chapter "Notes regarding setting parameters for safe actual value sensing without
encoder (Page 154)".
When this function is activated, a safe acknowledgment can be performed by
selecting/deselecting STO or SS1 (Internal Event Acknowledge) (p9507.0).
