5.5.18 X.25 and LAPB configuration examples
The following sections provide examples to help you understand how to configure LAPB and X.25 for
your network:
1. Typical LAPB configuration example
In the following example, the frame size (N1), window size (k), and maximum retransmission (N2)
parameters retain their default values. The encapsulation interface configuration command sets DCE
operation to carry a single protocol, IP by default. The lapb t1 interface configuration command sets the
retransmission timer to 4 seconds for a link with a long delay or slow connecting DTE device.

2. Typical X.25 configuration example
Network requirement
This chapter will introduce some typical X.25 configuration examples to make you understand more
about the tasks and contents related with X.25 of D-LINK router. Note that the content after the "!" is not
a part of the command but only a remark.

User can merely configure these two routers like the figure below if you only need to connect two
routers directly through serial interface with the encapsulation of X.25 and IP datagram.
